INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.
- Beat the egg Add the sugar, butter mix until smooth
- Add wet mixture to the dry mixture.
- Keep it overnight at least for 12-hours.
- Spoon 1/3 to 1/2 cup of batter into the waffle iron
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the waffles are brown.
